Manufactured homes have quality

Manufactured homes have qualityDear Editor,The series on pending legislation concerning manufactured homes seemed to miss its intended mark. The tone of both articles seemed to concentrate on quality and affordability issues. The genesis of this legislation is: Why can a stick-built home be allowed on one lot and a manufactured home built to exactly the same code not be allowed on the lot next door? This is plainly discrimination based on the origin of construction, period.Issues relating to quality and affordability certainly belong in the forefront of our industry. One-sided comments from local officials do not paint the complete picture. Also please note that the experience of the manufactured-home owner from Silt is certainly not the industry standard. Valley Homes Sales in Silt is the valley’s oldest modular home dealer. We had no association with that situation.Dale JohnsonValley Homes SalesSilt
