Marcia "Miki" Sayre Gardner

Marcia “Miki” Sayre Gardner, 82, of Grand Junction, formerly of Glenwood Springs, passed away peacefully March 12, 2009, at Community Hospital in Grand Junction.

Miki was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Okmulgee, Okla., to Jimmie Sayre and Marciella Bowman Sayre. She moved to Glenwood Springs when she was nine years old, and then to Grand Junction in 1990.

She married Charles L. Gardner January 28, 1946.



Her main request would be to remind everyone to take the time to spend with loved ones whenever possible.

She is survived by daughters Kris Gardner of Glenwood Springs, Susan (Ray) Hubbard of Wichita, Kan., and Marcia (Harold) Smith of Silt; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many friends from her school days in Glenwood Springs.



She was preceded in death by her husband; brother James Jerry Sayre; and a son, Tim.

At her request, no services will be held. Memorials in her honor can be sent to Colorado Animal Rescue, CARE, 2801 County Road 114, Glenwood Springs, CO 8l601.

Martin Mortuary, Grand Junction, has been entrusted with arrangements.
