Margaret Elizabeth McGregor

Margaret Elizabeth McGregor, 87, passed away Oct. 3, 2006, at the Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale. Margaret was born May 9, 1919, in Detroit, Mich., to Kurt and Ethel Sell. She spent most of her life in the Birmingham, Mich., area. Margaret was married to Charles McGregor, a World War II veteran, for more than 50 years. In her early years, Margaret worked for the Detroit Edison Co. and also as a real estate agent. She was a founding member of the Northbrook Presbyterian Church. Margaret was a terrific mother and homemaker. She also enjoyed her bridge club activities, traveling, and having fun in life. She also was an eight-year resident of Key West, Fla., toward the end of her life. Margaret is survived by children Ron McGregor of Key West, Fla., and Jaquelynn Frey, of Glenwood Springs; grandson Connor Frey of Glenwood Springs; and brother Robert Sell of Madison Heights, Mich. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Old Post Chapel in Arlington National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
