Margery Lowderback

Margery Lowderback, of Rifle, Colo., died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colo. She was 80.

She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Herbert Nelson and Doreen Swadling. She lived in Aspen, Colo., for 20 years and in Grand Junction, Colo., for 7 years. She married Raymond Lowderback on Aug. 6, 1974, in Aspen. Mrs. Lowderback was a resident of Rifle since 1993, and was a graduate of Colorado Mountain College. She was a member of the Eagles and the Phi Theta Kappa Society. She liked to cross stitch, knit and read.

She is survived by her husband; daughters Elizabeth Williams, of Minnesota, and Lucy Fithian, of California; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A traditional funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Rifle Funeral Home. Perry Bell will officiate. Visitation will precede Wednesday’s services from 1-2 p.m.

Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
