Margret Ellen Weiffenbach

Margret Ellen Weiffenbach died March 4, 2006, in Glenwood Springs. She was born in Adair, Iowa, on July 17, 1918, to Cornelius and Helena (Van Lome) Thornton. She married Ervin E. Weiffenbach in 1938 in Berwyn, Ill. They had four children, Don, Robert Neal, E. Ann and Jane. She was a longtime member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Boulder. She moved to Glenwood Springs seven years ago. Margret was named 2001 Volunteer of the Year for the Glenwood Center for the Arts. She is survived by son Robert Neal (Paula) Weiffenbach; daughters E. Ann (Richard) Moravek and Jane (Gilbert) Lee; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and by son Don Weiffenbach. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Farnum-Holt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
