Marian Teresa Gray

Marian Teresa Gray passed away Feb. 17, 2006, at her home in Fruita. She was born July 3, 1926, to Thomas Daniel and Mary Jane (Trexler) Gray in Carrolltown, Pa., and spent her childhood there. Marian was a great sports fan and avidly supported her sons’ sports activities. Baseball was her favorite. She enjoyed being in the mountains and spending her time playing golf and tennis. Marian’s career as a medical secretary was spent in Colorado Springs, where she raised her four children. She particularly liked traveling for fun-loving times with her brothers and sisters. Marian is survived by daughters Barbara Ann Dena of Normal, Ill., and Bonnie R. Daniels of Glenwood Springs; sons Michael Lee Daniels of Fruita and B. Scott Daniels of New Castle; siblings Dolores Gray of Baltimore, Lorraine Jennings of Angleton, Texas, Patrick Gray of Colona, Ill., and Thomas J. Gray of Geneseo, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren with one on the way. Marian was preceded in death by her sisters Marie Gray Wojno and Betty Gray Marana, and her brother, Cyril Gray. A service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction. Immediately following, a reception will take place at the home of Michael Daniels at 1355 19 Road in Fruita. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital (Memorial & Honor Program) at 501 St. Jude, Memphis, TN 38105.
