Marilyn Irene Carey died at her home in Carbondale on Saturday, June 29, 2002 from pancreatic cancer. She was 62.

She was born in Malden, Mass. on May 5, 1939.

Ms. Carey was dedicated to her friends, family and the Lord. She was loved by many because of the joy and happiness she spread. She loved her family more than anything.

She always had a solution to everyone’s problems, and was always there to listen. She was a very open-minded person.

Ms. Carey was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Carey Jr. and Lori Carey, of Arlington, Wash.; by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Neil Jensen of Carbondale; by grandsons Jared Jensen and Austin Carey; by granddaughters Jessica Jensen and Grace Carey; and by her ex-husband, Robert Carey.

Services were held at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home on July 3.
