Marshall Chaffee

Marshall has gone to be with his wife Ruth of 60 years on March 21, 2011.

Born Sept. 26, 1924. He graduated from Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio in 1942. Marshall served in the Army during WWII from 1945 to 1946. He worked for Ohio Bell and retired from US West in 1982 after 30 years. He was an Eastern Star member and a 32 degree Mason. He carved gavels for members of both.

Marshall volunteered at the Rifle Senior center. Marshall and Ruth were nominated for Senior Citizens of the year. His passions were the cabin he built in Pennsylvania and woodworking. He always took care of his family, neighbors and their friends.

He is survived by Connie and (Kevin) Perkins of Painesville Ohio, Michael Chaffee, Marsha and (Mike) McCormick of Rifle, Colorado. Four grandsons and one great-grandson.

Upon his request there are no services at this time. He and Ruth will be buried in St. Paul, Pa. at a later date.
