Martha Johnson Brough August 5, 1918 – April 30, 2005

Martha Brough, 87, of Las Cruces, N.M., passed away of Parkinson’s disease on Saturday, April 30. Martha was born Aug. 5, 1918, to Alfred and Mary Johnson, in Blue Ridge, Ga. She graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in accounting, and served for many years as a secretary and office manager in New Mexico, Texas, Georgia and California. She was past president of the El Paso chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, and was active in that chapter and others as an officer and member. Survivors include her spouse, Ted Brough; daughters Peggy Brough Stevens (Stan), of Glenwood Springs, nephews John and David (Monica) Innis, of California; niece Linda Baker, of St. Paul, Minn.; and many Johnson and Brough family members and friends in New Mexico, Georgia, Tennessee, California, Hawaii, Florida and Mississippi. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at St. Paul Methodist Church in Las Cruces. Interment will be Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook, Ill. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the National Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, l359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
