Marty Leon Moore

Marty Leon Moore, of Rifle, Colo., died after a long illness on Monday, April 22, 2002, near Rifle. He was 45.

Mr. Moore was born Sept. 15, 1956, in Stuart, Va.

He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years before retiring in 1993. In the service, he was awarded several commendations for bravery and abilities during the Desert Storm conflict.

After retiring, he settled in Rifle.

He is survived by relatives in Colorado, Texas and California.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel.

A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow, with full military honors, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle.

Farnum Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
