Marvin Humbert

Marvin Humbert of Freehold N.J., and formerly of Aberdeen, S.D. most of his life, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2011. He was 82.

Born in Chicago, Ill., he lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and in Aberdeen, S.D. most of his life, moving here to Freehold four years ago.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, the late Joanne Jacobi Humbert.

He is survived by his daughters, Susanne Lockard of Glenwood Springs, and Crista Peter of Freehold, N.J.; his son in law, Dr. Andras Peter of Freehold, NJ.; his grandchildren, Brooke, and Blake Lockard of Glenwood Springs, Charlie and Hailey Peter of Freehold, NJ.; and Andras Jr. and Balazs Peter of Budapest, Hungary; sisters, Mary Lou (James “Bert”) McGrew, and Dr. Jean (Lillian) Jacobi, all of Chicago, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in his honor Thursday, June 16, gathering from 5:30 p.m. and the services to begin at 6 p.m. at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 US Hwy 9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
