Mary Angela Malo

Mary Angela Malo of Glenwood Springs died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at Valley View Hospital. She was 93.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home Chapel, 405 W. 7th St. in Glenwood Springs. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Burial will be in Merrillville, Ind.

She was born Aug. 2, 1910, in Crown Point, Ind., to Wilhelmine (Horst) and George Weis.

She spent her childhood in Crown Point, graduating from Crown Point High School.

She married Fred A. Malo on Aug. 17, 1996. He survives. She was previously married to Hugh Pavlish, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Malo was an insurance agent.

She lived in Crown Point for 86 years before moving to Glenwood Springs.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs.

She was a member of church “Circles” and the Psi Iota Xi Sorority.

She enjoyed travel, art and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Malo is survived by her husband, Fred A. Malo; by sons Bruce Pavlish of Victoria, Texas, and Keith Pavlish of Hobart, Ind.; by stepson Fred A. Malo Jr. of Grand Junction; by daughters Joanne Betso of Asheville, N.C.; by stepdaughter and stepson-in-law Leslie A. and Steve Schubert of Silt; and by four grandchildren.

Farnum-Holt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
