Mary Dorothy Fattor

Mary Dorothy Fattor, of Glenwood Springs, Colo., died July 4, 2002, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs. She was 89.

She was born Jan. 27, 1912, in Denver, Colo., to Lorenzo Dow Croft and Appolonia (Abby) Ruhlman.

She moved to Glenwood Springs in 1962.

She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society and the Valley View Hospital Auxiliary.

As a young woman she danced professionally. Later she taught tap and ballet. She loved reading, chocolate and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband Jim, of Glenwood Springs; sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Carol Fattor, of Boulder, Colo., Joe and Melissa Fattor, of Leadville, Colo., Mike and Carol Fattor, of Glenwood Springs, and Terry and Susie Fattor, of Glenwood Springs; grandchildren Suzanne Palmer, Bob, Amy, Tim, Jill, Michael, Bradley, Eric, Kristie, Nicholas and Troy Fattor, Stephanie Templon and Katie Danielson; and great-grandchildren Hannah, Addison and Leah Fattor, Risa Palmer, and Patrick and Joseph Templon.

A memorial Mass was held July 8 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with fathers Tom Bradtke and Cliff McMillan officiating.

In lieu of memorial contributions the Fattor family suggests, “Buy your mother a box of chocolates.”
