Mary Elizabeth Glassier

Grand Junction resident Mary Elizabeth Glassier, 91, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at Lavilla Grande Care Center in Grand Junction.

She was born in Marble on Aug. 22, 1912, the daughter of Ernest and Rosina (Petro) Diemoz. She was raised on a farm and spent most of her life in the Carbondale area.

She married Louis H. Glassier on Nov. 4, 1933. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1990. After his death, Mary remained in Carbondale until 1999, then made her home in Grand Junction.



Mary was a member of the Catholic church. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed sharing her nice vegetables and flowers with others.

Survivors grateful to have shared in Mary’s life include a daughter, Grace Holgate and her husband, Bill, of Grand Junction; a sister, Virginia Price of Denver; grandsons Louis Holgate of McCordsville, Ind., and Craig Holgate and his wife, Lynn, of Manassas, Va.; and three great-grandchildren.



In addition to her husband, two sisters, a brother and a grandson preceded her in death.

The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
