Mary J. Wright, 93, died Dec. 21, 2008, at the Walbridge Memorial Wing in Meeker.

Mary was born Oct. 25, 1915, in New Castle, to Mike and Jennie (Zarlingo) Manuppella. She was a lifelong resident of Silt and New Castle, and had spent the last years of her life in Meeker.

Mary grew up on a ranch at Harvey Gap and attended Elk Park country school through the eighth grade. She graduated from New Castle High School and attended Blair Business College.

Mary was united in marriage to Barney Wright in 1937. Barney preceded her in death in 1994.

Survivors include her son Garry (Sandy) Wright of Meeker; granddaughters Monica (Randy) Rhodes of Casper, Wyo., Laura (Jake) Osborne and Sylvia (Aaron) Dembowski, all of Rangely; great-grandchildren Ashley and Kelly Rhodes, Logan Osborne and Justyne Dembowski; and great-great granddaughter Hailey Davis.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; and brothers Tony and Carmen.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Silt Historical Society.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Highland Cemetery in New Castle.

Cochran Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
