Mary Jo Ann Booth, 68, of Rifle, passed away Jan. 26, 2009 surrounded by her loving family.Mary Jo was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Grand Junction, to Martin and Mary (Canfield) Mason. She married James Booth Oct. 17, 1958. They had three children. She enjoyed keeping books and followed her husband in the lumberyard business.Mary Jo is survived by her husband of 50 years; daughters Danna (Chris) Nofsinger, and Tary (Doug) Martinez both of Cortez; son James (Dee Dee) Booth of Rifle; grandchildren Roman (Misty) Garcia of Rifle, Michael Martinez of Denver, Derek Nofsinger of Albuquerque, N.M., Nick Martinez of Cortez, Chelsea Nofsinger of Greeley, and Maddison Booth of Rifle; great-granddaughter Elle Garcia of Rifle; brothers Richard Mason and Howard (Marti) Mason, both of Grand Junction; and sister-in-law Sondra Goffnet of Grand Junction.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O. Box 294, Collbran, CO 81624.A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Rifle Funeral Home.
