Mary Lou (Halford) Davis August 28, 1931 – May 22, 2005

Mary Lou Davis passed away May 22, 2005. She was 73 years old.Mary Lou was born in Reyno, Ark., on Aug. 28, 1931, to Burlion (Buck) and Jessie Halford. She was the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Glenwood Springs High School in 1950. After high school, she worked at various jobs in Illinois and California. She moved back to Glenwood Springs in February of 2000 after retiring from her legal technician position with the Denver County Department of Human Services.Mary Lou was an avid reader and enjoyed card games.She is survived by a sister, Louise Richardson, of Glenwood Springs; four children, Lisa Bernard, of Littleton, Colo., Cheryl Alves de Souza, of Moreno Valley, Calif., Lyle Call of Boulder City, Nev., and Michelle David, of Glenwood Springs; and a granddaughter, Melissa Bernard, of Lakewood, Colo.She was preceded in death by brothers Gordon Halford, Richard Halford, Basil Halford and Edward Halford; and a sister, Dorothy Chappell.A memorial service in her remembrance will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs.
