Matthew "Matt" William Henderson

Matthew “Matt” William Henderson passed away April 3, 2006, at his residence in Fallon, Nev., due to complications of diabetes. Matt was born Dec. 29, 1968, in Albany, Ore.He graduated from Central Point High School in 1987. He moved from Colorado and lived in Fallon for more than two years. He loved to work on computers, taking them apart and putting them back together. Holidays were special to him, especially Halloween, and his yard was one of the special attractions in town at that time. Matt’s positive outlook and appreciation for life was admired by those around him.He is survived by his wife, Lana Henderson, of Fallon; mother and stepfather, Rachel and Patrick Roberts, of Rifle; brothers Bruce Henderson, of Oregon, and Dan Henderson, of Reno; sisters Debra Henderson, of Texas, Janelle Henderson, with the Oregon Army National Guard in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Glenda (Keith)Morris, of Fallon; and niece Katherine.Matt was preceded in death by his father, Arthur “Bill” William Henderson.There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Gardens Chapel in Fallon. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the American Diabetes Association and Project Safe Haven c/o Fallon Elks Lodge, 93 W. Center St., Fallon, NV 89406.Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home in Fallon.
