MDA Lock-Up a success
Dear Editor,
The town of Glenwood Springs made the annual MDA Glenwood Springs Lock-Up a great success. Eighty-six jailbirds joined together and raised nearly $41,000 on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The participants were welcomed at Marshall Dillon’s Steakhouse jailhouse and asked to make phone calls to raise their bail. Glenwood Springs’ top fund-raiser and winner of a drawing for a football autographed by Denver Bronco Rod Smith was Tim Gingles, from Taco Bell, who raised $3,301. Special thanks to everyone for their extra efforts.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association would like to thank Marshal Dillon’s Steakhouse for hosting the event; Cellular Sue for donating cell phones; Lightning Limousine who chauffeured all the jailbirds and all of our wonderful jailbirds. We thank you again.
MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat 43 neuromuscular diseases through programs and worldwide research, comprehensive patient and community services and far-reaching professional and public health education. For additional information please call MDA at (970)282-1320.
