It’s nice to travel, but it’s always nice to come back here.”Best gift you ever received: “I think it was a brand-new bicycle that I received when I was 7 – a bicycle that was bigger than me.”

We ran a national human rights program from our home office.”Hobbies: “We like to snowshoe and cross-country ski. I belong to a couple of book clubs. I will begin teaching human rights at CU in the fall.”Favorite place in Garfield County? “We hiked up to Hanging Lake yesterday, which was really beautiful – and hard, because it was icy. I like the Hotel Colorado, since my favorite B&B closed.”Favorite place in the world? “Well, besides Nederland? I guess San Francisco.”Best gift you ever received: “I think it was Valentine’s Day. Scott set up a huge array of candles and made dinner, and it was just beautiful.”

I got it for my birthday after I lost my driver’s license, so I could get around.”

It was a gift from work here, from having been here for so many years (15). It was gorgeous. The weather was perfect, lots to do and see.”
