What’s your favorite part about living there? “I don’t know. The snow, the people. It’s a little town, and I like that. I’m a small town person.”

What would you like to see change? “It’s kind of sad that, especially in Aspen, they’re selling all the local, good places (businesses), and everything is becoming big brands and stuff. I would rather have more local stuff.”



What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t yet had the chance? “Paragliding. I think it’s probably a good feeling. And traveling to Asia. And meeting new places. Culture and stuff.

“I would like to road trip to Brazil, but I need to find people to do it with me.”

Occupation: Soon to be in a seasonal forest ranger job at the Maroon Bells wilderness area

Lives in: Glenwood Springs (originally from Chicago)

What’s your favorite part about living there? “The natural beauty. Amazing river valleys in every direction. Beautiful mountains and beautiful canyons. It’s as simple as that.”

What would you like to see change? “I would like to see the new Atkinson (Ditch) Trail not be paved. Leave it the way it is.

“And, you know, I’d like to see a few more happening bars.”

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t yet had the chance? “Many. There are many. We’ll keep it local. I haven’t done a fourteener yet, but I will maybe climb several this summer.”

Occupation: “I’m studying to be a professional photographer at CMC.”

Lives in: Old Snowmass (born and raised)

What’s your favorite part about living there? “I’m more outdoorsy. I can’t stay inside. I’d have to say the community ” and the location.”

What would you like to see change? “I’d like for the government to be more community involved and let us have more say. Not much else.

“Maybe, like any other true person here, less development.”

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t yet had the chance? “I would have to say skydiving ” or flying a plane for that matter.”

Occupation: Student at Glenwood Springs High School

Lives in: Glenwood Springs (originally from Maui, Hawaii)

What’s your favorite part about living here? “I like the activities you can do here, like kayaking, biking, hanging out.”

What would you like to see change? “The size of Glenwood (he’d like it smaller). The traffic, too.”

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t yet had the chance? “I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland.”
