What’s your personal motto? “Just be yourself, I guess. Be open to other people.”

What was the last great meal you had? “Probably a Nepalese meal I had.” (He got the cauliflower/potato curry mixture when he was visiting Frisco).



What’s one last thing you can’t wait to do this summer? “Probably hike and camp around Independence Pass.”

Age: 40

Lives in: No Name (In her words, “I’m a military brat, so I’m from everywhere, but I grew up in western South Dakota.”)

Occupation: Shipping and receiving at Summit Canyon Mountaineering in Glenwood Springs

What’s your personal motto? “Life’s too short to be miserable ” miserable or grumpy.”

What was the last great meal you had? “Barbecue at a friend’s home when we all just got into town ” when somebody else cooked!” (Laughing)

What’s one last thing you can’t wait to do this summer? “I don’t know. I’m already back here. We (she and her boyfriend) lived here for 14 months, left for eight months, and now we’re back. So being here is good.” (Recently, in response to the housing crunch here, the couple full-timed it on the road. They pulled a trailer through Tucson and Las Vegas, as well as parts of Florida and North Carolina before rolling back into town.)

Lives in: New Castle (originally from Chicago)

Occupation: Owner of TreadZ shoe store, with his wife, Erin

What’s your personal motto? “Do it right the first time.”

What was the last great meal you had? “It was probably at Juicy Lucy’s. It was one of their steaks. It was good.”

What’s one last thing you can’t wait to do this summer? “Go camping. Maybe play a game of rugby.”

Age: 35

Lives in: West Glenwood (originally from Michigan)

Occupation: Licensed cosmetologist at Ray’s Tangle 2 hair salon

What’s your personal motto? “Stick within your comfort zone.” (At least, she said, that’s when it comes to hair).

What was the last great meal you had? “That was probably at The Riviera. I had prime rib. I dined with a few friends, so I had the opportunity to sample a few things. I had a white wine, a Voga, and now I can’t find it anywhere! Prior to that, the best meal I had was at The Kitchen in Boulder. There’s a chef there; his name is Adam Watts, and he is awesome.”

What’s one last thing you can’t wait to do this summer? “Go rafting ” which I’ll be getting to do next weekend, hopefully.”
