Local triathlete David Clark competed in the WTC 70.3 Boise Idaho Half Ironman (1.3 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13 mile run), in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday, June 13, winning his age group (50-55) with a time of 4:47. He placed 82nd overall out of more than 1,500 participants both amateur and professional.Clark beat nine professionals out of the water in the first leg of the event. He has plans to compete in several more events over the course of the summer and to help other triathletes to accomplish their triathlon goals as the program coordinator/ triathlon coach for Team Mindful Sports (www.teammindfulsports.com).
