Congrats to the Rifle sixth-grade boys traveling basketball team for its first-place finish in the Coal Ridge tournament this past weekend. They all played hard as a team and were rewarded as champions. Their next tournament is in Grand Junction this coming weekend.

Justin Houser Marshall, a 2008 graduate of Roaring Fork High School, was recently recognized as an Honor Band participant at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.Justin’s parents are Diane and Terry Marshall of Carbondale.Congratulations, Justin!

Haley Hubbell and Ian McEntyre are happy to announce their engagement. The parents of the bride to be are Dean and Jan Hubbell of Rifle, and the parents of the groom to be are Bob and Carol McEntyre of La Junta. Haley and Ian are both teachers in the Greeley area and are on staff with a Christian ministry at the University of Northern Colorado. The couple will marry on May 29 at the Fountains of Loveland.
