Now that summer draws to a close and the baseball season ends, it is time to send a shoutout to all the Silt Recreation program participants. All the Silt baseball teams had a wonderful season, from T-ball on up. Coach pitch won all its games, girls 8-10 had an 8-1-1 season, and the boys 11-12 team placed third in its tourney. Perhaps the biggest accomplishment of all, the boys 8-10 squad won the Valley Youth League Championship. Congratulations! Way to go! Of course, the players didn’t do it alone. They had awesome volunteer coaches and supportive parents. Thank you all so much for your hard work. The Silt Recreation Department needs volunteers and sponsors to survive, so we want to thank our excellent team sponsors: Redstone Building Co., The Country Florist and A-1 Traffic Control.Thank you everyone for making the 2010 season great. See you next summer.
