Fall is the season of rededication in Girl Scouts. Glenwood Springs Girl Scout Troop 269 recently held their rededication in Sayre Park. The troop is made up of girls from the fourth grade who are beginning their second year together. They girls participated in the candle lighting ceremony by rededicating themselves to the Promise and Laws of the organization. They received their Girl Scout Junior crest which is the “Wild Rose” they chose. The Wild Rose crest stands for perseverance and adaptability even in the face of adversity; beauty in strength and exploring possibilities. These Junior girls also received their first patch to place upon the vests they have earned. The troop is conducting their nut sales now. All support from the community is appreciated.
