Scot Schaeffer, Luther College vice president for enrollment management, has announced that Clara Miller of Glenwood Springs has been accepted for admission for the 2011-12 academic year to Luther. Miller received an Presidential Scholarship.Luther is a selective four-year college located in northeast Iowa. The college has an enrollment of 2,500 students and offers a liberal arts education leading to the bachelor of arts degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs.
Air Force Airman Mark G. Roseman graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio.The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.Roseman earned distinction as an honor graduate.He is the son of Suzanne Feeney of Glenwood Springs.
In honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of F. Patrick and Barbara G. Riley, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren request the pleasure of your company at an open house on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 409 29th St., Glenwood Springs. Dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. and dancing and cake from 6:30-8 p.m.
