Jeremiah John Riddile of New Castle has been named to the dean’s list at Ripon College for the fall 2010 semester, which recognizes academic excellence. Riddile is a sophomore politics and government major with a minor in national security studies. He is the son of Art and Mari Riddile. He is a 2009 graduate of Coal Ridge High School and is currently a member of the Ripon College Red Hawks Soccer team, which won the Midwest Conference Championship in 2010. To qualify for the dean’s list at Ripon College, students must achieve a 3.40 grade point average or higher on a 4.00 scale and complete at least 12 credits of regular letter-graded work.

Miles Patrick Morrison was born Jan. 11, 2011. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 21 inches long at birth.His big sister is Reagan, and his parents are Clayton and Jacquelin Morrison of Mound City, Kan. Paternal grandparents are Michael and Judy Morrison of New Castle, and Denise Neilsen of Rifle.Maternal grandparents are Joe and Katie Northern of Lawrence, Kan., and Pollyann Yates of Blue Mound, Kan.Paternal great-grandparents are Betty Lou and Larry Woolley.Maternal great-grandparents are Steve and JoAnne Yates of Merriam, Kan., and Eleanor Northern of Tonganoxie, Kan.
