The Junior Demons baseball team is raising funds to supplement expenses as it hits the road throughout Colorado between April and August in a competitive league. At the first fundraiser they worked as a team washing cars and selling yard sale items and baked goods. They also raised money through a silent auction and, in the end, discussed giving a portion of the proceeds to YouthZone.

Air Force Airman Benjamin F. Skogen graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.Skogen earned distinction as an honor graduate.He is the son of Kathi Skogen of Somerset, Pa., and Terry Skogen of Carbondale.The airman graduated in 2005 from Shanksville High School in Pennsylvania.
