Memories & Milestones

Until the very last week of school, Junior Achievement volunteers were busy finishing up their many classes in the Roaring Fork Valley. Jeni Harvey completed her “Our Nation” curriculum for Ms. Chance’s fifth-grade class at Sopris Elementary, by taking the students on a field trip to visit various businesses and learn about different occupations. The day began with a visit to All Kids Dental, then to Community Bank and on to Colorado Mountain College. After a picnic lunch in Sayre Park (pictured) the class visited two areas at Valley View Hospital as well as a local veterinary office. From the looks of things, it was a great experience for all!To become involved with Junior Achievement’s Board, as a volunteer or donor, contact Sharon Brady, district manager at 404-7722.
