When the fact that there were no tetherballs in New Castle came to the attention of New Castle Cub Scout Pack 221 Assistant Cub Master John Harcourt, he went into action. Since there are four cub scout age groups he had each one of them to do one as a project. With the generous help of Mike Felber at Lowe’s, along with help of James Eastop and Cole Moulton at the Sports Authority, the boys went into action. Each den has installed a new 10-foot-tall post and tetherball in a different park.

Max Winkler and Christina George were united in marriage on Sept. 24, 2011. Christina is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al George of Rifle. Max Winkler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Winkler of Rifle.
