Prior to Thanksgiving, Roaring Fork Liquors owner Ken Robinson announced that he was going to donate the entire gross profit from the store’s Black Friday sales on Nov. 25 to LIFT-UP. Robinson was able to present a check for $2,700 to LIFT-UP’s executive director, Mike Powell. “That was a good day for us, so it was a good day for LIFT-UP,” said Robinson. “Thank you, Glenwood Springs and the Roaring Fork Valley for supporting the cause,” he added. Mike Powell replied, “I want to say thanks to Ken – he’s done a great job supporting LIFT-UP and our mission for a very long time.” The store also collected food from customers, and has a donation box on the counter for anyone who would like to make a contribution to LIFT-UP during the holiday season. “A lot of folks around here are having a rough time right now, and I just want to encourage people to give,” said Robinson.
