At a Dec. 7 luncheon, Sherry Long, EnCana Oil and Gas stakeholder relations advisor, presented a $1,500 check to Jim Ervin, vice president of the Valley Senior Center. Treasurer Jeanette Osmon participated in receiving the donation, part of EnCana’s ongoing Community Investment Program.

Andrea Goossens (Perez) is graduating from University of Colorado-Boulder on Dec. 16, 2011. Andrea will receive her degree in architecture with an emphasis in environmental design. Andrea was a 2007 Rifle High School graduate. Her entire family is immensely proud of her and her accomplishment and is excited for her bright future in the field of architecture.

Debbie Herrill from Thrifty Thrills donated a portion of her store’s September proceeds to the Colorado Mountain College adult education learning lab in Glenwood Springs. Her $1,000 donation will go toward GED scholarships. Thrifty Thrills is located at 3330 S. Highway 82 in Glenwood Springs.
