The stuffed animals came from them, teachers and children at Sopris Elementary, and various people from the community who wanted to give in some way. Ally Tapp and Mikaela Richardson could not make it.

Julie Christianson and Barney Higgins of Glenwood Springs are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Kelly Higgins to James Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cole of San Antonio.The wedding was held in Boerne, Texas, on Oct. 15, 2011.The couple reside in San Antonio.

Ian Derrington, son of Janver and Khaila Derrington of Carbondale, has completed his PhD in Physics at the University of Washington at Seattle. Ian is a graduate of Roaring Fork High School (01), Colorado University, Boulder (05). His thesis title is “There’s a hole in the bucket: DNA sequencing with the nanopore MspA.”
