Randalea Elizabeth Milhorn was recently awarded a master’s degree in linguistically diverse education from the University of Colorado-Denver. The longtime local educator, foreign language expert and mother of three college students proudly accepted her advanced degree Dec. 17 during ceremonies at the Colorado Convention Center. For more than a decade, Milhorn persevered to earn her degree, overcoming numerous obstacles and life challenges including two knee replacement surgeries, illnesses, unemployment and most importantly, raising children. Milhorn is looking forward to sharing her gifts of teaching and foreign language acquisition one day soon in a local classroom.
