Memories & Milestones

Cadette Girl Scout Troop 269 from Glenwood Springs recently participated in its second Girl Scout Jamboree hosted at the Jackson Ranch in Glenwood Springs. The girls brushed up on their camping, outdoor cooking skills and fire safety skills. Also, they got the chance to teach songs to other Girl Scouts attending campfires. They would like to thank the Jackson family for hosting the event and all the volunteers that came out and taught and supported the event.

A great big shout out to Ruth Edmonds who successfully organized this area’s 12th Girl Scout Jamboree at the Jackson ranch. Her tenacious dedication to making this event happen each summer has made it possible for Girl Scouts of all ages to learn new outdoor skills, share songs and make new friends.
