Michael Allen Strong
Michael Allen Strong of Rifle died May 17, 2004. He was 52.
A memorial service is scheduled at noon today, May 20, at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Strong’s cousin, Mike Deere, will officiate.
He was born in Aspen on Jan. 26, 1952, to Jacqueline and George “Mickey” Strong. He was a graduate of Aspen High School.
He moved to Rifle 15 years ago, where he worked as a cowboy and ranch hand and in construction. His marriage to Charlene Sain ended in divorce.
Mr. Strong loved the outdoors ” riding horses, busting broncos, hunting and fishing. He was known as a man with a good heart who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Culver, and his “special father,” Tom Culver. He is also survived by his son, Mark Strong, his daughter, Trisha Strong, and a daughter he called his own, Ilene Strong. He is also survived by his sisters, Patty and Carroll, and three grandchildren.
Burial will be at a later date at Red Butte Cemetery in Aspen. Memorial contributions can be made in Strong’s name to the organization of your choice.
