Michael Roy Bovee

Michael Roy Bovee of Glenwood Springs died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, at his home. He was 45.

Mr. Bovee was born July 10, 1957, in Lansing, Mich. He graduated from Waverly High School in Lansing in 1975 and from Kirkland Community College in 1977.

He was a chief airplane mechanic for US Airways. He moved to Colorado in 1996 and operated a window covering business in Carbondale.

Mr. Bovee enjoyed watching sports and participating in many outdoor activities including golf, hiking, camping, biking, skiing and snowmobiling. He was a loving father and son.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Hunt, of Glenwood Springs; by his father, Roy Bovee of Lansing; by brothers Gregory Bovee of Lansing, and Douglas Bovee of Eugene, Ore.; by a sister, Laurie Bovee of Evergreen; and by nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Mountain View Baptist Church south of Glenwood Springs.

His ashes will be spread in the mountains that he loved.
