Michael Thomas Doyle passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 12, 2010, in New Castle.

Mike was born Nov. 28, 1956 to Bernard Doyle Jr. and Barbara Bell Doyle, in Camp Pendleton, California. He was the oldest of 5 boys.

Mike moved to Colorado with his family during his teen years. He graduated Rifle High School in 1974. After graduating, he attended Mesa State College for 4 years.

He then moved to California where he spent many years working as a graphic artist.

Mike later returned to Colorado where he met his beloved Aggie. in 1998, they married and made their home in Battlement Mesa.

Mike was employed by Colorado Mountain College for 15 years, where he was an administrative aide. Mike had a passion for education and loved to share that with others. He worked hard to remove obstacles for those who wanted to further their educations.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

Mike is survived by his wife Aggie, of Battlement Mesa, as well as his brothers, Bernard Doyle III (Dawn) of Rifle, William (Joe) of Madison, Wis., Jonathan (Hollie) of Palisade, and Patrick (Joy) of Elizabeth; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own.

A memorial celebration will be held Nov. 27, 2010 from 1-5 p.m. at the Auditorium of Colorado Mountain College West Garfield Campus.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mike’s name to the No Barriers Fund at Colorado Mountain College.
