Midland Avenue southbound in Glenwood Springs closed

Midland Avenue from West Glenwood to the Eighth Street bridge will be closed for the next several weeks due to pipeline work to connect the new wastewater treatment plant to the old facility off of Eighth Street.

The southbound lane of Midland Avenue (heading toward Glenwood) will be closed to all traffic at Wulfsohn Road. Southbound traffic can access the Community Center and Glenwood Meadows at Wulfsohn, but traffic will not be able to return to Southbound Midland and get into Glenwood.

This will be a 24-hour-a-day closure.

The northbound lane of Midland will be open to traffic heading toward West Glenwood. Northbound traffic can access the Community Center and the Meadows shopping area.

Motorists needing to get into or go through Glenwood Springs from the west should take Exit 116 off Interstate 70 or plan to use Highway 6 from West Glenwood. Devereux Road is also open.
