Mildred Glenn (Woody) Huber

Mildred Glenn Huber, 99, passed away April 11, 2007, at Heritage Park Care Center in Glenwood Springs. Mildred was born Sept. 6, 1907, in Glenwood Springs, to John S. Woody and Emma (Bindernagel) Woody. Mildred enjoyed her garden and yard with flowers she and her mother planted. She kept in contact with former telephone company employees she worked with when switchboards were the mode of operation, and enjoyed talking about the early history of Glenwood Springs. Mildred worked in the defense plant in Arizona during World War II.She belonged to the American Legion Society and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs.She is survived by cousins, members of the Byers and the Werking families; grandchildren David, Stewart, Charles, Alyce and Danny Davies and Christine McFall; great-grandchildren Sky, Bodie, and Brooke Davies; and one great-great-grandchild, Isis.Mildred was preceded in death by two sisters; husbands William McFall and Albert Fred Huber; daughter Dona McFall Davies; sons Lavan McFall and Billie McFall; and granddaughter Deanne Davies.The family suggests memorials be made to The Traveler Senior Program, the First United Methodist Church, or other charities of your choice. Farnum Holt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
