Missing Baumli’s letters

Dear Editor,
I miss reading Mildred Baumli’s letters to your newspaper. Mildred is an icon in Carbondale, a lady I have known for 40-plus years. She is an example to young and old. Until recently, she could be seen taking her brisk daily walk.
I feel each individual who chooses to write a letter to your newspaper has a right to express what they think and feel.
I believe Mildred has been intimidated by a man who wrote regarding one of her letters.Since everything in life is according to an individual’s perspective, we can learn from one another.
I only hope when I near 90 that I can be as giving, caring and energetic as Mildred Baumli.
You go, girl!
