Mona Elizabeth Beck

Mona Elizabeth Beck passed away Aug. 25 at Heritage Park Care Center at the age of 84.Mona was born to Harold and Myrtle Doane on July 26, 1922, in Denver. She was raised near Arvada and attended school there. She married Charles Albert Beck on Aug. 10, 1940. They began their life together on a farm northeast of Golden. Their three children were born while living on this farm. Bonnie arrived first, then David, and finally Tim. Mona loved her children dearly and did her best to spend time with them and encourage them to love the Lord just as she did. Charles, Mona and the two sons moved to a ranch on Cattle Creek, near Carbondale, in the spring of 1963. They both enjoyed the ranch and stayed there as long as they were able. Mona worked for a time at the Co-op in Carbondale, then was employed for many years at the First National Bank in Glenwood Springs. Mona was a people person and enjoyed visiting with everyone. Mona is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Clyde) Ebbs, her son Tim (Peggy) Beck, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Mountain View Church of Glenwood Springs at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northwestern Colorado Youth for Christ, P.O. Box 1074, Glenwood Springs, CO, 81602.
