MOPS Harvest Luncheon a `smashing success’

Dear Editor,

The community once again made our Sopris MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) annual Harvest Luncheon a smashing success. At one point, there wasn’t an empty chair in the house. That’s pretty exciting news for this group of moms selling chili and slices of homemade pie to keep our program running.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by that day to have lunch with us. And, thanks to the sponsors who donate to our luncheon and to the media who publicized our event. We couldn’t successfully pull this off without you.

Please, if you ever get a chance, stop by and see what we do on the first or third Thursday morning of the month at the First United Methodist Church in Glenwood Springs. We’re mothers of preschoolers trying to help other moms be the best moms they can be.
