Dear Editor,

This week (May 5-9) has been designated as National Teacher Appreciation Week. Please take a moment out of your schedule this week to show those special teachers in your child’s life how much they are appreciated for all they do, day to day, to create a fun, safe and nurturing educational environment for your child.

A card, flowers, or just stepping into the classroom to let them know you care will mean a great deal. Some PIE organizations will be providing a staff luncheon in their honor. Maybe you have a special dish you would like to bring and share with them.

From the principal, secretaries, teachers, aides, janitorial and lunchroom staff, thank you for all you do!

From a parent of a Glenwood Springs Elementary School student,

Pam Coller
