Dear Editor,

Colorado Animal Rescue Shelter is currently operating during its busiest season.

We currently have a full house of over 15 dogs, 30 adult cats and 60 kittens. To help the shelter save money we rely on donated items from the public. We currently NEED canned dog, cat and kitten food, cat litter, kitten milk replacement, bleach, laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels and stamps.

These items are essential to our day-to-day operation.Colorado Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations made to the shelter are tax deductible.

For more information please call 947-9172.

Thanks for supporting your local animal shelter.

Warm regards,

CARE

Dear Editor,

Our hope and prayer is that this Armed Forces Day (May 17) we will ALL remember our military, and especially those now serving in harm’s way. A special prayer for the Craig family of Jordan Ferrell, who was wounded in April by a hand grenade that detonated on the roof of the truck in which he was riding.

We also appreciate the GSPI’s coverage of our local military and applaud Craig for hosting a picnic on Saturday to honor their military. Their county commissioners also declared May 17 as “Moffat County Hometown Heroes Day.”

Sincerely,

Richard and Betty Scranton
