Munro takes over as PI managing editor

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado – Drew Munro has become managing editor of the Post Independent. He started Monday, April 8.

Munro comes to the Post Independent after five and a half years at another Colorado Mountain News Media operation, the Sky-Hi News and Middle Park Times in Grand County. During that time, he served as news editor, then editor and general manager.

Munro started his journalism career as a reporter and news editor with the Delta County Independent in Delta, moving to The Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction, where he worked for eight years including five years as editorial page editor. He also worked as news editor and special projects editor for the Idaho Press-Tribune in Nampa, Idaho, and as managing editor of the Cody Enterprise in Cody, Wyo.



“I am excited to be back in Western Colorado and look forward to working with the communities of Garfield County,” he said.

Munro and his wife, Carolyn, have two grown daughters who live in the Denver area.
