Murray Stephenson Sanders passed away on Feb. 4, 2011. He was 89. He was born March 16, 1921 in Wichita, KS to Clyde and Mary (Stough) Sanders. Murray was a loving husband and father, and a kind and gentle person to everyone. He enjoyed fishing and photography with his grandchildren. He had a great way with gardening and nature and taught us all to respect our Earth. He also served in the United States Army Air force in World War II. We will always hold him in our hearts. We love him. Murray is survived by his wife, Helen, whom he married in 1948 in Wichita KS; sons James, Larry and Jack Sanders; daughter Jane Lindt; brother John Sanders; sisters Marge Plantier, Josephine Barton, Fern Ward and Rosie Brandon; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Clyde Sanders Jr., Maryellen Ford, Anita Bing and Pauline Hauser. There will be a graveside military service with the date to determined later. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alpine Home Health & Hospice, 2764 Compass Dr. Ste. 112B, Grand Junction, CO 81506, Attn: Katherine McBride.
