Myrtle Cora Nye
Myrtle Cora Nye passed away peacefully while asleep at the age of 92 at Heritage Park in Carbondale, CO.
She was born in Cabool, Missouri, on April 6, 1920, to the late Amos and Dorothy Fielden.
She married Louren Buck Nye on June 10, 1939, in Rocky Ford, CO. They had a wonderful fifty-five years together before his passing. Together they had eight children; Myrna (Darwin) Barta, Larry, Robert, Daniel, Delbert (Cherlynne), Jerry (Rita) Nye, the late Lawrence (Dorothy) Nye and her recently deceased daughter Leota (Max) Patton. She was a grandmother to twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by granddaughters Jocelle Almond and Donna Nye-Wise, grandson Justin Nye, her sisters Lorraine Wilson, Juanita Dixon, Nell Morley and her brother Austin Fielden. Before moving to Heritage Park four years ago she enjoyed reading, gardening and baking.
Services will be held at St. Vincent Parish Basalt, CO, on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 10:00 am, reception following. Final resting place will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Basalt.

Forest Service investigates Independence Pass snowmobiling case; alleged culprit posted pictures on social media
Numerous people have identified Breckenridge resident David Lesh as one of the men riding snowmobiles on snow-free terrain near Aspen. Lesh has posted several pictures of his illegal activity on social media, including snowmobiling at what he identified as the summit of Mount Elbert.
