Nasie Pecjak

Nasie Mary Natal Pecjak died April 16, 2006, at Valley View Hospital. She was 90 years old.Nasie was born March 30, 1916, in Woody Creek to Victor and Valerie (Betemps) Natal.She was a lifetime resident of the Roaring Fork Valley, living in Aspen for many years, and later in Carbondale. She was blessed with many loving and caring friends. Family and friends were very important and dear to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.She is survived by sisters-in-law Emma Natal, of Carbondale, and Cora Natal, of Glenwood Springs; nephews August Natal, of Carbondale, Dennis Natal, of Paonia, Ronald Natal, of Pueblo, and Stanley Usel, of Fort Collins; nieces Laurie Mullins, of Colorado Springs, and Rosina Johnson, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and several grand- and great- grandnieces and -nephews; brother-in-law Frank (Mardell) Pecjak; sister-in-law Anne Slavens; nephew Richard (Judy) Pecjak; and numerous other nephews and nieces.Preceding her in death were her husband, Matthew Pecjak; infant daughter Valerie; sisters Rosina Natal of Woody Creek and Pierina Usel of Basalt and Fort Collins; brothers Arthur Natal of Carbondale and Stanley Natal of Woody Creek.There will be memorial services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood Springs, with a reception following at the funeral home.A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Red Butte Cemetery in Aspen.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Crystal Meadows, 1250 Hendrick Drive, Carbondale CO 81623 c/o Jerilyn Nieslanik.
